HAG Ergonomic Chairs
With all the kinds of Ergonomic Chairs available in the market, it can be difficult to choose which one will be best for your workplace. They are available in various kinds of material, style, and design, and some might have additional features that others don't. When setting out to buy that ergonomic chair, here are some guidelines that you can follow through:
1. Good ergonomic chairs are easily adjustable in terms of height and tilt.
2. Find one that has a strong base, five legs with casters that will be able to roll over a floor or a carpeted surface.
3. Choose a chair that can revolve 360 degrees to allow the user to access everything around his workstation without having to twist or strain his muscles.
4. The recommended length for the seat pan should be anywhere between 15 to 17 inches, and the width should be at least 18 inches. It should have enough space for the thighs and its length should be just enough to support the entire buttocks. The minimum adjustable tilt for the seat pan should be 5 degrees, backward and forward.
5. The best ergonomic chairs have edges that are padded and shaped with firm but soft material for better support. The front edge of the seat pan should also be rounded in a nice, waterfall fashion.
6. The material used for the seat pan should be non-slip, firm, breathable, soft and resilient. It should not be too rough or too hard, as it would not feel comfortable. Try to avoid seats that are extremely contoured as it might restrict convenient sitting positions.
7. The backrest of good HAG ergonomic chairs should be at least 15 inches in height and 12 inches in width, enough to support the upper trunk and the shoulder/neck area. It should also be firm as it is the one responsible for lumbar support. Make sure you choose one that matches the lower back curvature. The backrest should widen at the bas and curve in from the sides so it can coincide with your body shape, and it should not meddle with your arms.
8. The backrest should be declinable by at least 15 degrees and should lock into place at the certain chosen angle for firm support.
9. The best ergonomic chairs have removable backrests and their distance from one to the other should be at least 16 inches. Adjustable armrests which heights that range from 7 to 10.5 inches from the seat pan are preferable. It should have enough dimensions to allow forearm support without having to meddle with your work surface. Adjustable armrests are best if your chair has multiple users. Choose one that has a soft, but firm padding.
10. Normal ergonomic chairs are designed for users who weigh 275 pounds and below. If you expect a user who weighs more than this, you should choose a design that can support extra weight.
Choosing ergonomic chairs can be quite difficult as there are lots of choices to choose from. What you should bear in mind, however, is the comfort of the person who will sit on that chair, whether it is you or someone else. Balans Ergonomic chairs, by themselves, are intrinsically comfortable, but the degree of comfort you would feel would depend greatly on the kind that you purchase.
